The Arrow EZ-IO Intraosseous Needle and Stabilizer Kit is for vascular access anytime in which vascular access is difficult to obtain in emergent, urgent or medically necessary cases for up to 24 hours and provides rapid, smooth entry into the bones intramedullary cavity, creating an immediate conduit to the central circulation.
The Intraosseous Space (IO) is a specialised area of the vascular system where blood flow is rapid and continues even during shock. Drugs and fluids infused via the Intraosseous route reach the central circulation as quickly as those administered through standard IV access.
